Join us for this special New Years Eve-Day two-hour immersive yoga flow and ceremonial sound bath experience with Erika Van Gemeren and Cypress Dubin at Yoga Tree Potrero.
Curated to cultivate release and clearing, we’ll move through a grounding and nourishing movement and sound practice-- making space for new beginnings as we cross the threshold of 2019.
As we near the end of the year as well as the end of the decade, it’s a potent time to align our practice with the cycles ending, clearing, and shedding. We can recapitulate the past, look at what has not served us, and what we want to set free for the next decade. In the emptying and new found spaciousness, we set the stage to invite clear vision and resolutions to arise.
Expect a juicy, spacious flow and floor work held by exquisite live sound healing and music. We will have a slow Vinyasa flow paired with some deeper long holds to really excavate and clear the residue in our bodies to prepare us for the new year to come. We'll transition with breathing practices to prepare the body / mind for deep listening and an extended sonic savasana.
Cypress Dubin brings her transporting vocals and a ceremonial soundscape featuring mantra, medicine melodies, Tibetan singing bowls, shruti, gong, sansula, chimes, world and shamanic instruments. We’ll be held in a container of resonance and beauty— opening us to new possibilities of rest, resilience, and release.
Feel free to bring an eye covering, water bottle, journal, warm layers for rest... and anything else to enhance your sound meditation experience.

ABOUT ERIKA
Born to a Bolivian cardiologist father and a 3rd order Franciscan nun mother, Erika is no stranger to matters of the heart and spirit. She grew up in California, and has mindfully crafted a reverent teaching and healing practice that is an embodiment of years of yoga practice (ashtanga, vinyasa, and bhakti), shamanic and Priestess training, and more recently, accreditation with the Modern Mystery School. she continues to work with her root teacher, Janet Stone, as a mentor and facilitator.
